MU PHARMA celebrates new milestones for ophthalmologists from Mulago National Referral Eye Department.

MU Pharma Co. SMC Ltd was pleased to join the ophthalmology community at Eye Sante Hospital, Lumumba Avenue, Kampala, on 27 July 2026, for the launch of Hyfresh Gel, Latano, Latanocom, and Croma.

The event brought together members of the Mulago National Referral Hospital Eye Department and the MU Pharma team in a celebration of continued collaboration and innovation in eye care.

Among the memorable moments was the presentation of a certificate of congratulations to newly qualified ophthalmologist Dr. Mlaluko Rajab by Dr. Ssali Grace, Head of the Mulago National Referral Hospital Eye Department, in the presence of Dr. Deo Ssewankambo, Company Pharmacist at MU Pharma.

The event concluded with an evening dinner at Eye Sante Hospital, providing an opportunity for colleagues and partners to connect, celebrate, and strengthen relationships within Uganda’s growing ophthalmology community.

Mu Pharma Conducts Continuous Medical Education Session with First Pharmacy Team

As part of its commitment to advancing healthcare through knowledge sharing, Mu Pharma Co SMC Ltd recently conducted a two-day Continuous Medical Education (CME) session for the medical staff of First Pharmacy on 23rd and 24th July 2026.

The training was led by Mu Pharma’s Team Leader and Head of Marketing, Dr Deo Ssewankambo, alongside the Mu Pharma team. The session focused on the latest medical and pharmaceutical advances in the management of eye and skin conditions, providing participants with valuable clinical insights and product knowledge.

Among the products discussed were Croma, Hyfresh Gel, Latano, and Latanocom—new additions to Mu Pharma’s expanding ophthalmology portfolio. The interactive sessions also gave participants the opportunity to engage directly with the presenters, with Dr Deo Ssewankambo and Mr Kenneth Musaga responding to questions from the audience.

The CME concluded with photo sessions bringing together the teams from First Pharmacy and Mu Pharma, symbolising their shared commitment to continuous professional development and improved patient care.

Through initiatives like these, Mu Pharma continues to strengthen partnerships with healthcare professionals by promoting continuous learning and supporting the delivery of quality healthcare across Uganda.
