On Friday, September 4th, 2026, our team visited the Masaka Regional Referral Hospital to host an engaging Continuing Medical Education (CME) breakfast session with the hospital’s Ophthalmology Department.

The meeting took place in the department hall, providing a collaborative environment for interactive learning, professional discussion, and product knowledge sharing.

• Interactive Product Application Discussions: Our representative, Mr. Manigaruhanga John, had an insightful exchange with Mr. Salim Kazibwe (OCO) regarding the practical and appropriate application methods for Hyfresh Gel. Ensuring proper application techniques helps maximize therapeutic outcomes and patient comfort.
• Round Table Departmental Engagement: Mr. John Manigaruhanga also led a productive round-table discussion with members of the Ophthalmology Department. The team discussed key ophthalmic management strategies and reviewed MU PHARMA CO’s eye care portfolio.

On Monday, September 1st, 2026, MU PHARMA hosted a Continuing Medical Education (CME) session at the Mbarara University Hospital Eye Department. The gathering brought together a multidisciplinary clinical team, including Ophthalmologists, Ophthalmology Clinical Officers, Residents, and Nurses.

The event served a dual purpose: advancing clinical eye care discussions and officially welcoming 13 new first-year Residents to the department.

Key Highlights from the Event

• Introduction of New Ophthalmic Products: MU PHARMA representative Mr. John Manigaruhanga presented the company’s latest eye care solutions—Hyfresh Gel, Croma, Latano, and Latanocom—highlighting their application in improving patient outcomes.
• Clinical Insights on Glaucoma Management: Dr. Byamugisha Asaph, Head of Residents at the Mbarara Hospital Eye Department, delivered a presentation on current protocols and best practices in Glaucoma management.
• Operational Collaboration: Mr. John Manigaruhanga engaged in strategic discussions with Sr. Immaculate Tumuhimbise, the department procurement officer, to streamline product accessibility for clinical care.

MU Pharma Co. SMC Ltd was pleased to join the ophthalmology community at Eye Sante Hospital, Lumumba Avenue, Kampala, on 27 July 2026, for the launch of Hyfresh Gel, Latano, Latanocom, and Croma.

The event brought together members of the Mulago National Referral Hospital Eye Department and the MU Pharma team in a celebration of continued collaboration and innovation in eye care.

Among the memorable moments was the presentation of a certificate of congratulations to newly qualified ophthalmologist Dr. Mlaluko Rajab by Dr. Ssali Grace, Head of the Mulago National Referral Hospital Eye Department, in the presence of Dr. Deo Ssewankambo, Company Pharmacist at MU Pharma.

The event concluded with an evening dinner at Eye Sante Hospital, providing an opportunity for colleagues and partners to connect, celebrate, and strengthen relationships within Uganda’s growing ophthalmology community.
