MU PHARMA Engages Mbarara University Eye Department in Interactive CME Session

On Monday, September 1st, 2026, MU PHARMA hosted a Continuing Medical Education (CME) session at the Mbarara University Hospital Eye Department. The gathering brought together a multidisciplinary clinical team, including Ophthalmologists, Ophthalmology Clinical Officers, Residents, and Nurses.

The event served a dual purpose: advancing clinical eye care discussions and officially welcoming 13 new first-year Residents to the department.

  • Introduction of New Ophthalmic Products: MU PHARMA representative Mr. John Manigaruhanga presented the company’s latest eye care solutions—Hyfresh Gel, Croma, Latano, and Latanocom—highlighting their application in improving patient outcomes.
  • Clinical Insights on Glaucoma Management: Dr. Byamugisha Asaph, Head of Residents at the Mbarara Hospital Eye Department, delivered a presentation on current protocols and best practices in Glaucoma management.
  • Operational Collaboration: Mr. John Manigaruhanga engaged in strategic discussions with Sr. Immaculate Tumuhimbise, the department procurement officer, to streamline product accessibility for clinical care.
